Have you been thinking about Scuba Diving and not sure where to start? It only takes few hours! You can try now with Try Scuba Diving (TSD).

This program is designed for those looking forward to have a quick immersion in the beautiful world of scuba diving. Program duration is 3-4 hours.

Activities include:

• TSD and Equipment briefing: Instructor will help you to choose a dive equipment and explain how to use it.

• Basic Scuba Skills (pool session): You will spend 20-40min in our 3-meter deep swimming pool. Instructor will demonstrate and teach important skills.

• Dive in the open sea: After Pool Session You will have 1 or 2 Dives in the most spectacular coral reefs of the sea with your personal Instructor.

Mahi Mahi Dive Resort has beachfront location facing Apo Island with our own black sand beach, tropical garden and magnificent palm trees! Our Swimming Pool is 3 m deep good for scuba diving training. Salt Chlorinators, an alternative technique of pool sanitizing with chlorine using the process of electrolysis. The electrolysis process is achieved by passing the salt water solution through an electrolytic cell which converts sodium chloride (salt) in the water into chlorine gas which, when dissolved in water becomes sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine).

Black sand beach lookin very exotic, isn't it? The sand is black because of dark-colored fragments of cooled down volcanic lava once erupted from Talinis volcano then broken down in tiny fragments of mostly basalt along with other minerals. Black sand contains high concentrations of micronutrients beneficial for marine life. Chemical analysis of the local sand showed 40,7% of ferric oxide, 5,3% of magnesium oxide and 4,8% of potassium oxide! Black sand also creates a very unique underwater scenery - glittering world, home for lots of rare marine species. Among them are blue ringed octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, frog fish of different size and color, wonderpus, various nudibranchs etc. Scuba divers and especially underwater photographers, flock to Zamboanguita to experience its rich and unusual underwater world.
